Kingdom Hearts One

A young boy, Sora, and his friend Riku live on Destiny Islands. A beautiful island where they can play with the other kids, Wakka, Tidus, and Selphie. One day, in the middle of a meteor shower, a mysterious girl appears on the island, Kairi. Kairi begins to live on the island with the others and Sora, Riku, and Kairi become inseperable. Kairi tells Sora and Riku that she doesnt remember where she was from and how she got to Destiny Islands, so one day Kairi, Sora, and Riku decide to try and visit other worlds by building a raft. The next night there is a terrible storm and Sora runs out to check on the raft while his mother calls for him to come eat dinner. Once Sora gets outside, he sees a giant ball of darkness above the island and mysterious creatures all over the island. Sora tries to defeat the creatures with his wooden sword, but it fails. Then a strange "key" looking thing pops into his hand and actually destroys them. Riku is standing under the ball of darkness and examining it. He asks Sora to come with him as they are being pulled into darkness. Then Sora appears on a scrap of the island and has to fight his "shadow". (darkside) Once the fight is over, Sora appears in a strange world (Traverse Town) and a strange dog comes and wakes him up (Pluto from the Mickey Mouse cartoons). Meanwhile, Goofy and Donald were told to look for a boy with a "key" in Traverse Town, while their king(Mickey Mouse) is on a mission.
